I have created a range of greetings cards inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh which are available at the Mall Galleries, The Mall, London SW1 during the Royal Institute of Oil Painters Annual Exhibition which runs from 28 November - 9th December 2018.
The Mackintosh Legacy
In designing the Glasgow School of Art , architect and painter Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868 - 1928) embraced every aspect of the space, including moving between rooms. Flower alcoves were built at the entrance to each painting studio, with instructions for stems to be placed daily. Mackintosh saw the vital connection between nature, harmony and mood for the aspiring artist.
